Laura Baverman (Rinehart)
Director of Communications, Pendo
Partner? House? Kids? Dogs?
Ah, you are making me feel old! Pretty much all of the above minus dogs plus cats. I met my now husband randomly in Puerto Rico in 2010. We got married in 2012 and moved to Raleigh, NC where we still live. We’ve lived in three houses since then!
In 2016, we adopted our son Beau at birth. His sister, Zoe, came along 17 months later. With two very busy toddlers, life is kind of a blur but crazy fun. Oh, and we adopted two cats, too. They are also surviving life with two toddlers.
What has been the biggest change in your life over the past 10 years?
Everything? Besides the family stuff above, I left journalism after a dozen years to join a high growth tech startup in late 2017. I’ve led media/pr/comms through two big rounds of funding, an acquisition, international expansion, and growth from 175 people in two offices to 400 in six around the globe. It’s been a wild ride but a ton of fun, and more to come.
What impact did being a part of C-Change Class 4 (Best. Class. Ever.) have on you, either personally or professionally?
I loved all of the people and miss seeing your faces around Cincinnati for sure. Professionally, it helped me understand the networks to connect with in my new city and armed me with ideas I could share here in Raleigh.
